  • Do we really need a separate AI Governance program?
Regardless of size, any company using AI technologies needs an AI Governance program to manage the risks and ensure responsible use. All businesses can face significant consequences if AI systems make biased decisions, misuse data, or fail to comply with upcoming regulations. An AI Governance program helps you establish clear guidelines and begins with creating an AI Governance Committee Charter that will provide the framework for oversight. Your AI Governance Committee will be tasked with establishing policies, assessing risks regularly, ensuring data privacy and security, monitoring AI systems for compliance, and educating your team on best practices. DPS Privacy Advisors can help you implement these steps to protect your business from potential legal, ethical, and operational issues, allowing teams to leverage AI safely and effectively.
  • Can you help us self-certify with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF)?
We assist organizations in confidently self-certifying with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework by conducting a detailed analysis of your data privacy practices and policies, and then ensuring your operations and documentation align with the DPF Framework Principles . Our team of experts identifies any gaps in compliance and offers clear, actionable steps to align your practices with the framework's requirements. We ensure that your data handling, processing, and transfer mechanisms meet the stringent standards set by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, enabling you to self-certify with confidence and mitigate any risks associated with international data transfers.
  • Why is AI Risk Management critical for my organization?
AI Risk Management is essential to ensure that your organization leverages artificial intelligence safely and effectively. Without proper oversight, AI systems can introduce significant risks, such as biased decision-making, data privacy issues, and regulatory non-compliance. By implementing a robust and functional AI risk management framework, your organization can identify potential risks early, establish clear guidelines for AI usage, ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and maintain the integrity of your data and decision-making processes. This approach protects your organization from legal, ethical, and operational risks associated with AI technologies, safeguarding your reputation and maintaining stakeholder trust.
  • Can DPS Privacy Advisors assist with Vendor Risk Management?
Our Vendor Risk Management services are designed to help clients proactively identify and mitigate risks posed by third-party vendors with access to the organization's personal and sensitive personal data and confidential information. Before conducting risk assessments focusing on security practices, compliance with regulations, and data protection measures, we help clients identify all third-party vendors and categorize them based on the level of access to data and potential risk. In addition to verifying contractual safeguards outline expected data protection standards and vendor compliance obligations, we recommend conducting recurring compliance checks to fortify your organization’s overall privacy and security posture, helping to protect your reputation and bottom line.
